New York City is the cultural capital of the world – and yet too many residents lack regular and affordable access to high-quality arts programming.
Meanwhile, the city teems with artists of all stripes who are motivated to donate their time and talents to the community – but aren’t quite sure how.
Here’s where Sing for Hope fills a vital need. We forge close relationships with under-resourced schools, hospitals, and community centers throughout the five boroughs. We grow and nurture a roster of hundreds of artists, amateur and professional alike – from opera singers to jazz musicians, actors to dancers, painters to puppeteers. And every day we mobilize these artists to participate in volunteer service programs at our partner sites, where they bring the power of their art directly to those who need it most.
Sing for Hope believes that the arts have unmatched power to uplift, unite, and transform lives. And we believe that all people deserve access to them.
