Cornelia Connelly Center (CCC) champions girls at risk, empowering them to realize their full potential from middle school through college and beyond.
CCC embraces each child entering our program for a thirteen-year journey of growth in mind, heart and spirit. Our challenging, joyful middle school fosters skills, resilience and compassion while our innovative, holistic graduate programs support college aspirations and completion.
Through CCC, a young woman learns to shine – transforming her life and our world.
The historic Connelly Theater is a beautiful 99-150-seat miniature opera house in the heart of NYC’s East Village that now serves as a home for adventurous independent theater productions. The building, originally an orphanage, dates back to the mid 1870s. The theater itself was once a choir hall, with the distinctive proscenium arch and raised stage added later.
The Connelly Theater is part of Cornelia Connelly Center. All proceeds from theater rental go to the Center to support their middle school and Graduate Support program.
